Homemade Fruit Ice Pops
A fresh, colorful, and easy frozen dessert made with real fruit.
Fruit ice pops are one of the simplest homemade treats you can make. They are light, refreshing, and perfect for warm weather, family gatherings, or a quick dessert after dinner. The best part is that you can prepare them with almost any fruit you have at home: berries, mangoes, peaches, kiwi, watermelon, pineapple, or citrus.
Unlike many store-bought frozen desserts, homemade fruit ice pops let you control the ingredients. You can make them sweeter, more sour, smoother, or more textured depending on your taste. They can be made with fruit juice, coconut water, yogurt, or simply blended fruit and a little lemon juice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of fresh or frozen fruit
- 1 cup of fruit juice, water, coconut water, or yogurt
- 1–2 tablespoons of honey, sugar, or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice
- Fresh berries, mint leaves, or thin fruit slices, optional
Recommended Fruit Combinations
- Strawberry and banana for a soft, sweet flavor
- Mango and orange juice for a tropical taste
- Watermelon and lime for a very refreshing ice pop
- Raspberry and peach for a bright summer flavor
- Kiwi and apple juice for a light and slightly sour version
Instructions
- Wash the fruit carefully and remove any seeds, stems, or peels.
- Cut the fruit into small pieces so it blends easily.
- Place the fruit, liquid, sweetener, and lemon or lime juice into a blender.
- Blend until smooth. For a more natural texture, leave a few small fruit pieces.
- Taste the mixture. Add more sweetener if the fruit is too sour.
- Pour the mixture into ice pop molds, leaving a little space at the top.
- Add fresh berries, fruit slices, or mint leaves for decoration if desired.
- Insert the sticks and place the molds in the freezer.
- Freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely solid.
- To remove the ice pops, hold the mold under warm water for a few seconds.
